Three must be Hutchinson's lucky number: they beat Maize with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Salthawks beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Friday.

Hutchinson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Maize, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.
