After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jackson Prep, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Caledonia Cavaliers for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-15 victory. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sullivan Reed continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 229 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Jackson Whitcomb was another key player, picking up 118 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Caledonia, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Lamar will be playing at home against East Rankin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 33.2 points per game this season. As for Caledonia, they will head out on the road to challenge New Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
