Wheeling Park's Bryce Ingram recorded the longest rushing play in Ohio Valley AAAAA this season in his game against Elkins last week. Ingram's team bested the Tigers as he sprinted for 76 yards on the play and finished with 253 in all.
Indian Creek moved up to 182 from 222 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Redskins climbed the ranks as a result of besting Harrison Central 33-21.
Indian Creek's dynamic duo of Alex Young and Mandela Lawrence proved tough for the Huskies to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Young threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns and Lawrence had 72 yards receiving. Frankie Kamarec helped Indian Creek's passing attack out by catching two balls for 63 yards.
Wheeling Park's Zach Phillips and Eric Banks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 990 yards this season, while Banks has 27 catches for 481 yards. Morgantown's Chazzy Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 1102.
A big matchup in Ohio Valley AAAAA this week will be when John Marshall takes on the Mohigans. As it stands, the Monarchs are in 11th, while Morgantown is in fourth.
Andrew Connor's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Harrison Central, 33-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Redskins.
