After flying high against the Central Jaguars last Saturday, the Destin Sharks came back down to earth. Destin fell just short of Bay by a score of 48-46. Destin lost against Bay in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-49 score last time.
Despite the loss, Destin still got an impressive performance from Imaran Harris, who scored 18 points. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Tyler Flynt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Destin's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bay, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Destin will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 507 points over their last seven games. As for Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against Mosley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mosley and Bay are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
