The biggest upset of the week belonged to Woodsboro, who took down 696th ranked Woodsboro, 14-13. Rob Molina ran for 95 yards and caught two passes for 18 yards in the win.
Runge extended the longest winning streak in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this week by beating the Eagles, 14-13. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Yellowjackets.
Falls City's dynamic duo of Cameron Soto and Tyler Moore proved tough for Pettus to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Soto threw for 113 yards and two touchdowns and Moore had 50 yards receiving. Dean Gaskamp helped Falls City's passing attack out by catching two balls for 21 yards.
The Beavers' Soto and Phillip Lyssy have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Soto has thrown for 875 yards this season, while Lyssy has 18 catches for 217 yards. Runge's Dylan Torres leads the league in rushing yards with 687.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Louise takes on the Yellowjackets. The Hornets are currently in fifth, while Runge is in first.
The Yellowjackets moved up to 709 from 786 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A-2 Region IV District 14. Runge climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Woodsboro 14-13.
