Basketball Game Preview: Lee Christian Falcons vs. Bradford Academy Archers

The Lee Christian Falcons will face off against the Bradford Academy Archers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Lee Christian came up short against Crossroads Christian and fell 48-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Colts: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite their loss, Lee Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaleigh Wilson, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points and six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Wilson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elayna McFarland, who posted seven points and 18 boards.

Even though they lost, Lee Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Bradford Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Emerson Waldorf 36-22 back in December of 2024.

Bradford Academy's win came from a few key players Lee Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Martha Crotts, who had 13 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bradford Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Megan Papaneri, who scored nine points.

Lee Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bradford Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.
