After a string of eight wins, Sardis's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 57-49 to the Fairview Aggies. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aggies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Sardis' loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3. As for Fairview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Sardis has already played their next game, a 68-45 victory against Jacksonville on the 21st. As for Fairview, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jasper at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
