Baseball Recap: Forest Hills Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Forest Hills came out on top against Westmont Hilltop on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Rangers blew past the Hilltoppers 12-2. Considering the Rangers have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Forest Hills let Maddox Dombrosky and Bryce Roberts run wild. Dombrosky went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Roberts went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Dombrosky a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbie Smiach, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Forest Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmont Hilltop only posted an OBP of .407.

Forest Hills has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Westmont Hilltop, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Forest Hills will head out on the road to face off against Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Westmont Hilltop does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
