It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Drumright Tornadoes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Bruins with a 60-54 win. The victory was just business as usual for Drumright, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Bryson Kelley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 351 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 109 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Kelley has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last eight times he's played.
Drumright has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Caddo, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.
Drumright will square off against Velma-Alma at 11:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Velma-Alma's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matchups. Caddo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
