Chittenango secured a 58-52 W over Fayetteville-Manlius on Thursday. Given Chittenango's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Fayetteville-Manlius is ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryan Moesch was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. Jack Lamphere was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three blocks.
Chittenango is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Fayetteville-Manlius, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Chittenango won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Johnson City at 8:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. One thing working in Johnson City's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fayetteville-Manlius, they will head out on the road to face off against Cicero-North Syracuse at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cicero-North Syracuse will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
