Given Shepherd's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Gladwin is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shepherd was led to victory by Colton Dysinger and TJ Powell. Dysinger scored 16 points, while Powell scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dysinger has scored at least 25% of Shepherd's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Williams, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Shepherd's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Gladwin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Shepherd's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Clare at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Clare will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Gladwin, they will head out on the road to face off against Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
