The Colusa RedHawks entered their tilt with the Live Oak Lions with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Colusa breezed by Live Oak on the road to the tune of 71-29. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-13.
Colusa was led to victory by Landon Humphrey and Isaiah Travis. Humphrey scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Travis scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Humphrey hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jace Mackaben, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was T.J. Ehrke, who scored 11 points. Zack Granger was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Colusa has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Live Oak, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colusa will take on Pierce at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pierce will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1203rd, while Colusa is ranked 535th). As for Live Oak, they will head out on the road to face off against Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willows is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
