Valders is 2-8 against Kiel since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Kiel will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Valders extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Vikings put the hurt on Hilbert with a sharp 8-2 win. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Austin Ebert was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Carter Valleskey was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Valders hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilbert struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiel). They blew past Sturgeon Bay 14-2 on Monday. With that win, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Hunter Pitzen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Pitzen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Edward LeMieux, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Owen Schmit, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
The victory made it two in a row for Kiel and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Valders, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Kiel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Valders hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Kiel, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Valders' hitters?
Valders couldn't quite get it done against Kiel when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
