Paul Laurence Dunbar never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Madison Southern on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 45-12 win over the Eagles. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 48-7).

Paul Laurence Dunbar's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Madison Southern, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Paul Laurence Dunbar and Madison Southern will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs will challenge rival Tates Creek at 6:30 p.m. on October 10. Meanwhile, Madison Southern is set to face off against their familiar foe East Jessamine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
