Kettle Moraine has gone a perfect 10-0 against Waukesha West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lasers will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Kettle Moraine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Waukesha West will be up against a hot Kettle Moraine squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Lasers came out on top against Mukwonago by a score of 7-3 on Thursday.
Briella Hack made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Hack wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Casey Navarro, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Sarah Marcheske, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Waukesha West was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Homestead as they made off with a 9-3 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Like Kettle Moraine, Waukesha West also got a great game from a two-way player: Lauren Walters. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Walters was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payton Hisel, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Allie Marks was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Waukesha West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Kettle Moraine pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Waukesha West, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Everything went Kettle Moraine's way against Waukesha West in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Kettle Moraine made off with an 8-1 win. Do the Lasers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
