On Tuesday, the West Monona Spartans were out to avenge their 58-38 loss to the River Valley Wolverines from their previous meeting last month, but they had no such luck. West Monona came up short against River Valley, falling 60-51. The Spartans' defeat continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three in a row.
The Spartans' defeat pushed them down to 3-13. The win bumped River Valley's record up to 12-6.
The Spartans will take on Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute on Tuesday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close contest. As for River Valley, they will face off against Lawton-Bronson on Friday. Lawton-Bronson took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse River Valley's good fortune.
