Last Friday, Heber Springs put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Southside as they made off with a 21-0 victory. No one put up better numbers for Heber Springs than senior Blaze Nelson, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 155 yards and 1 touchdown. This marked the 3rd match in which Nelson has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Riverview have to be aching after a bruising 14-35 defeat to Bald Knob. The state rankings had actually given Riverview a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Heber Springs's win lifted them to 4-4 while Riverview's loss dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Heber Springs' success rolls on or if Riverview are able to steal their positive momentum.
