The Ridgeline Riverhawks entered their tilt with the Bear River Bears with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Ridgeline snuck past Bear River with a 69-63 victory on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ridgeline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Cox, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cox has scored at least a third of Ridgeline's points. Another player making a difference was Khyson Buchmiller, who scored 18 points along with two blocks.
Ridgeline's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Bear River, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeline has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Ridgeline is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sky View in Utah (Ridgeline is ranked 17th, while Sky View is ranked 62nd). As for Bear River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
