The Edgewood Academy Wildcats stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Evangel Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 56-29. Winning may never get old, but Edgewood Academy sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edgewood Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindsey Brown, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Madison Martin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Edgewood Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-3. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Hooper Academy the next time they take the court. Edgewood Academy will host Hooper Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Evangel Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
