Wyatt Beddes Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Shepherd's Wyatt Beddes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Beddes rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Shepherd is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. Beddes' next matchup is against Red Lodge/Belfry/Roberts on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Jake Cook Dazzles in Joliet Victory
Jake Cook was instrumental in extending Joliet's winning streak to three on Thursday. Cook turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 72 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Joliet's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Cook and Joliet will challenge Huntley Project at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Schmidt Came Up Big in Huntley Project's 36-0 Victory
Huntley Project picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Grady Schmidt. Schmidt did his part (and then some), rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the season, Schmidt has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 117.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 44.67 rushing yards per game.

Joliet Gets a Boost from Juhnke in 49-7 Win
Kaden Juhnke put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles.
For the season, Juhnke has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 137 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.
