West Warwick simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat St. Patrick Academy 71-30 at home. West Warwick has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.
West Warwick got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gregory Benton out in front who scored seven points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Lawrence, who scored nine points.
West Warwick pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for St. Patrick Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
West Warwick the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Achievement First Providence at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. St. Patrick Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ponaganset at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Ponaganset is ranked 30th, while St. Patrick Academy is ranked 50th).
