The Jackson Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 29 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 71-32 victory over Edison at home. Given Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while Edison is ranked 747th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson was led to victory by Leonard Clark and Jordany Fils-Aime. Clark scored 23 points along with five steals, while Fils-Aime dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Fils-Aime has scored at least 25% of Jackson's points. Another player making a difference was Vincent Dudley, who scored ten points.
Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Edison, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will stay at home for another game and welcome Miami Springs at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Miami Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Edison will be home for the holidays to greet JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
