The Pecos Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Andrews 72-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pecos of the 68-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Pecos lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremy Perello. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points.
Pecos dropped their record down to 3-20 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Andrews, their victory bumped their record up to 11-18.
Pecos will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. Greenwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Pecos likes a good challenge. As for Andrews, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
