The Okemah Panthers were the 44-12 winner over the Keys Cougars when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Okemah was the victim of a tough 46-22 defeat at the hands of Keys on Friday. Okemah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Keys' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyson Robinson led the charge by rushing for 163 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Austin Davis was in the mix too, providing Keys with three touchdowns.
Okemah's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Keys, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okemah will take on Prague at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prague has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 248 points over their last six matches. As for Keys, they will be playing at home against Henryetta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
