The Rogers Rams will square off against the Maumee Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Rogers got the win against Start by a conclusive 18-2.

Rylie Mundt made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Mundt was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Zyla Hill and Da'Mya Boles did most of the damage at the plate: Hill went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Boles went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Hill is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Ra'Nyjah Adams also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, while Maumee put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Emmanuel Christian. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Warriors. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Like Rogers, Maumee also got a great game from a two-way player: Hannah Ruiz. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, Ruiz is now averaging an impressive 5 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Reign Hurt was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jamie Brooks, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Maumee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emmanuel Christian only posted an OBP of .263.
The victory made it two in a row for Maumee and bumps their season record up to 12-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Rogers, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rogers hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Maumee struggles in that department as they've averaged .381. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rogers suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Maumee in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
