The Pender Pendragons entered their tilt with the Wisner-Pilger Gators with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Pender strolled past the Gators with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 59-44. With that victory, Pender brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Leading Pender to victory were Alex Roth and Aiden Beckman. Roth scored 19 points along with six rebounds, while Beckman scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Ryan Krueger was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Pender's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Wisner-Pilger, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.
Pender will take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakland-Craig is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Wisner-Pilger, they will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkson/Leigh is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
