The MAST Charter II Voyagers waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They breezed by Martin Luther at home to the tune of 69-39. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for MAST Charter II this season.
MAST Charter II was led to victory by Shane Twyman and Cedric Williams. Twyman dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Williams scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Basil Graham, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
MAST Charter II pushed their record up to 10-8 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Martin Luther, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MAST Charter II and Samuel Fels will face off at 4:45 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Samuel Fels' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. As for Martin Luther, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morrisville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
