Harmony Area is 0-10 against West Branch since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Owls will host the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Wednesday, Harmony Area got the win against Glendale by a conclusive 13-3. The matchup marked the Owls' most dominant win of the season.
Hunter Pearce made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Harmony Area: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 1-7 otherwise. Pearce was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Harmony Area let Jaxson Keith and Jacob Pearce run wild. Keith went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Pearce got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave Pearce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trevor Hugill, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Harmony Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.4.
Meanwhile, West Branch made easy work of Glendale on Tuesday and carried off a 12-4 victory. Considering the Warriors have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dylan Mcgonigal was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
In other pitching news, Mason Reichard looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Frank Leskovansky, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Hansen Lannen was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
The win made it two in a row for Harmony Area and bumps their season record up to 3-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for West Branch, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Harmony Area has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like West Branch struggles in that department as they've averaged .465. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
