Arlington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-20 victory over the Mesquite Skeeters. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Skeeters players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jerome Broadus, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two scores.

Looking ahead, Arlington will challenge Marcus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mesquite, they will square off against North Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
