A big part of Mountain View's win came down to the chemistry between Tate Johnson and his top target Hyrum Stafford. Johnson threw for 285 yards and three TDs while Stafford gained 133 total yards and three touchdowns. Stafford's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. 113 of Johnson's passing yards were hauled in by Briggy Moses, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Mountain View's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Siakale Lehauli, Alani Fua, and Carter Vance, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Uintah's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Romeo Garcia, who picked up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown. Another pass catcher making a difference was Tai Turner, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score.
The victory got Mountain View back to even at 3-3. As for Uintah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
