Hall-Dale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Telstar as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Lucy Gray made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Torie Tibbetts, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Mira Skehan was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Lisbon entered their tilt with Spruce Mountain on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 9-2 victory.
Like Hall-Dale, Lisbon also got a great game from a two-way player: Mackenzie Eaton. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Eaton has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Sophia Bowie was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubriana Bright, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lisbon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spruce Mountain only posted a batting average of .200.
Hall-Dale's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Lisbon, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hall-Dale has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like Lisbon struggles in that department as they've averaged .514. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
