Emery has gone 9-0 against North Sanpete recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Emery Spartans will challenge the North Sanpete Hawks at 7:00 p.m. North Sanpete took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Emery, who comes in off a win.
Emery took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Carbon. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted against the Dinos since January 20, 2022.

It was another big night for Katelyn Nielson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kali Jensen, who posted nine points and four steals.
Meanwhile, North Sanpete managed to keep up with Manti until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. North Sanpete came up short against Manti, falling 49-28. The Hawks have struggled against the Templars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Emery will have to keep a close watch on Madison Johansen and Malia Schlappi, a pair of players who had a big impact on North Sanpete's prior game. Johansen had nine points along with five boards and three steals, while Schlappi put up 11 points. Johansen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Emery pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.3 points. As for North Sanpete, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Emery has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.5 boards per game. However, it's not like North Sanpete struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Emery took their victory against North Sanpete in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 57-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Emery since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
