Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Tallmadge Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Roosevelt will face off against Tallmadge. The Rough Riders will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Roosevelt fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Tallmadge on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 7-6.

Teddy Maccarone and Ryan Sanders stepped up to the plate in a big way. Maccarone got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, while Sanders got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Maccarone has become a key player for Roosevelt: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Baggetta, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tallmadge's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
