The Cornerstone Eagles waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Altamont 39-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cornerstone also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Kemberly Roscoe had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for three straight games.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Goldberg, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Cornerstone's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. As for Altamont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone will take on the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vincent will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Altamont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
