It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Prairie Heights Panthers can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 54-27 loss at the hands of the Cougars. Prairie Heights just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Prairie Heights' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily McCrea, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds, and Ava Boots who scored nine points along with two steals. Boots is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Central Noble found their leader in underclassman Abby Pliett, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Pliett is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierra Bolen, who scored 13 points.
Prairie Heights has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Central Noble, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.
Prairie Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Noble, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Central Noble has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
