Tri County took down Johnson County Central 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Trojans led C2 District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Thunderbirds.
Johnson County Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunderbirds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Grant Badertscher has thrown for 51 yards and one touchdown this season, while Jay Kuhns has two catches for 48 yards. Kuhns leads the league in rushing with 712 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Johnson County Central takes on Southern. Dustin Buggi's team's offense has scored 132 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Raiders have allowed only 107 on the year.
A big matchup in C2 District 2 this week will be when Southern takes on the Thunderbirds. At the moment, Kane Hookstra's team is in first, while Johnson County Central is in third.
Kuhns broke off the longest rushing play in the league this week with a 65-yard scamper against Tri County. Kuhns finished the game with 78 yards on the ground as the Thunderbirds fell to John Mcgary's team.
