The Dexter Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Central by a score of 67-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Dexter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Spratt led the charge by scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Spratt pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kellen Peavey was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds.
Dexter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Dexter will stay at home for another game and welcome George Stevens Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Sumner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
