The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Aloysius, who took down 243rd ranked Mount Olive, 21-20.
Bogue Chitto extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 4 this week by beating Dexter, 32-12. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Clifford Fernandez and Dante Butler proved tough for Bogue Chitto to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fernandez threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns and Butler had 124 yards receiving. Vonta Owens helped Dexter's passing attack out by catching six balls for 121 yards.
Jermaine Blackwell was the most productive running back in the league this week. In five carries, he ran for 191 yards as Gareth Sartin's team lost to Gareth Sartin's team. James Blackwell also contributed to the rushing game with 105 yards on the ground.
6-foot-6 quarterback Fernandez of Randy Sumrall's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1881. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, Hinds County Agricultural's Deandre Selman has rushed for 1466 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Germie Martin. The Bogue Chitto star has 43 catches for 919 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against Noxapater, Fernandez is short just 119 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
The Bobcats' Martin is only 81 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the West Lowndes.
In 118 carries Stevie Quinn has accumulated 990 yard this year.
Stringer took down Salem 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tevin Moore threw for 41 yards and one touchdown and ran for 165 yards in the win.
