Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They enjoyed a cozy 80-63 win over the Monument Valley Cougars on Friday. For the Buffalos, this counts as revenge for the 49-31 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Monument Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Malaya Blackmountain, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Blackmountain a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kaylisa Tome, who had 18 points.

The win got Valley back to even at 5-5. As for Monument Valley, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-19 victory against Monticello on the 4th. As for Monument Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-50 loss against Whitehorse on the 8th.
