Softball Recap: Hawthorne's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Hawthorne won the last time they faced Centennial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawthorne Cougars were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the Centennial Apaches. Considering the Cougars have won four matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hawthorne's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-5. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Hawthorne will face off against King/Drew at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Centennial, they will challenge Hawthorne at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
