It was a good run, but the Legacy Christian Grizzlies unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Varsity Opponent on the road by a decisive 50-36 margin. Legacy Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nicolas Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 58.3% of Legacy Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Seth Harper, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Legacy Christian dropped their record down to 8-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 357-1288-2.
Legacy Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
