The New Milford Green Wave were the 49-32 winner over the Immaculate Mustangs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. New Milford was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 46-45 to Immaculate.
Immaculate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Saidman, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Saidman scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Callie Miller, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
New Milford's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Immaculate, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Milford will take on Brookfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immaculate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Fairfield at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
