The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks were the 56-51 winner over the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tamalpais took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peregrine Falcons on Tuesday. Tamalpais' defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Archie Williams found their leader in underclassman Brian Wright, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grady Stewart, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Tamalpais dropped their record down to 11-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Archie Williams, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-8.
Tamalpais will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marin Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Red Tailed Hawks are ranked 174th). As for Archie Williams, they will head out on the road to take on the Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Redwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully the Peregrine Falcons like a good challenge.
