Sierra Vista won the last time they faced Basic and things went their way on Monday too. The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions breezed by the Basic Wolves to the tune of 79-48. The Mountain Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 29 points or more this season.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelani Stafford, who went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of JaMari Cottingham, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.
Sierra Vista pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Sierra Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
