Caleb Williams Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Crowley's Caleb Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Williams rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (107.3). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
Williams' next contest is against Mansfield on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance. The matchup will pit Williams up against the Tigers' star quarterback Braxton Van Cleave. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Van Cleave Posts Huge Game in 49-14 Win
Mansfield picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Braxton Van Cleave. Van Cleave was dynamite, throwing for 236 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.
On the year, Van Cleave has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 239.5 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had six passing touchdowns.

Jacobe Hayes' Big Game Leads Mansfield over Lake Ridge
Mansfield picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jacobe Hayes. Hayes was unstoppable, picking up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Lake Ridge's probably not too fond of Hayes given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Hayes saw the Eagles), he picked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Zion Robinson Turns in Season-Best Effort
Mansfield was led to victory by Zion Robinson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Robinson picked up 120 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 52 yards.
On the season, Robinson has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 62.5 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had one receiving touchdown.

Nathan Wilson Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Mansfield Legacy got the W thanks in part to Nathan Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson threw for 80 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 63 yards on only six carries.
The win snapped Mansfield Legacy's winning streak at seven games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record. Wilson and Mansfield Legacy will challenge Boswell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
