Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burges). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-13 win over the Ysleta Indians. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Indians are ranked 1278th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Burges, bringing their record for this year to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Ysleta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burges will head out to face off against Loretto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ysleta, they are taking a road trip to challenge Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
