Levi Wallace added two as well as
Roxana (Ill.) beat
Vandalia (Ill.) 49-36 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Wallace touchdown run in the first quarter, the Shells led 34-19 at the half.
Roxana expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Vandiver touchdown run.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which the Vandals took, 42-6.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Shells, who lost to Hillsboro last week, 27-21. The win broke Roxana's three-game losing streak. The loss was the fourth in a row for Vandalia.
Vandalia (0-4) goes up against Litchfield in a South Central game matchup next week, while Roxana (1-3) locks horns with Greenville also in a South Central game.
