West Point-Beemer and Wayne are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. West Point-Beemer's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allie Kaup, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Campbell Snodgrass who scored 17 points. That was a full 37.8% of West Point-Beemer's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mia Hunke, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wayne's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight defeat. They fell 48-39 to Wynot.
West Point-Beemer's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10. As for Wayne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
