The Timber Creek Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Olympia Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Timber Creek has four straight wins, Olympia has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Timber Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Dr. Phillips, taking the game 6-3. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly three runs.

Hayden Knowlton looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Torres, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Buffaloe, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.
Meanwhile, Olympia suffered their closest loss since April 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Apopka by a score of 4-2.
Olympia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Grande, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Timber Creek pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs over those games. As for Olympia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Timber Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Olympia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Timber Creek took their victory against Olympia in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Creek since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
