Baseball Recap: Interlachen's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Interlachen entered their tilt with Crescent City on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Raiders 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Eubanks made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eubanks was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one double.

In other batting news, Rodney Blackwelder was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Interlachen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Devon Williams, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Interlachen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Interlachen's record is now 9-7. As for Crescent City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Interlachen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-7 win against Peniel Baptist Academy on the 3rd. As for Crescent City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Palatka on the 3rd.
